I am looking to buy a new rifle and Im between the Franchi Momentum Elite and the Weatherby Vanguard MeatEater edition mainly because of availability. The action is a little sticky at the back because its a 2-lug so theres a little play at the back if you arent pushing straight. Its a push feed which means if you short stroke the bolt you can get a jam that I guarantee will take you half an hour to un-jam. You havent included Winchester in your reviews. . This is Franchis first rifle and they want into the market place are keeping the price low. I believe the momentum rifle could easily stack up against the models outlined in the under $500 category. Jim, Ive owed most of the brands youve mention here. I havent tried the Rage yet, but I have used that same action and stock in different configurations. Ive narrowed it down to a Sig Cross in 6.5, a JTAC Screech Owl in 6.5 22 barrel.
